Training
Thank you for considering Lang Klinic for your training in
the field of cosmetic tattooing. The fundamental training is the first
step among many that you will be taking to become proficient in this
industry. It is my preference to train one or two students of similar
background. This way the subject matter can be tailored to the individual
student(s) taking into consideration their background and education. This
allows for the most efficient use of time. It also avoids time consuming
questions from other students. When taking classes with other students,
the course must be structured without consideration for any prior
knowledge or experience a student may have. Also, with live model
demonstrations there isn’t the issue of everyone jostling around trying to
get a better view.
Lang Klinic provides 65 hours of classroom instruction plus
35 hours home study. This adds up to 100 hours, as is the requirement set
by the SPCP for certification. Home study material includes a training
manual, booklets, articles from past conventions and newsletters. You
might ask why it is so important to follow the SPCP recommendation. SPCP
promotes safety, excellence, and professional standards. It is a
non-profit organization which provides us with education, certification
and industry guidelines. We as members must follow a strict set of ethical
guidelines. Please refer to www.spcp.org for further information.
Additionally, not being a product distributor, I am able to
provide an overall objective opinion of necessary supplies including
machines, pigments, anesthetics. You will receive a list of suppliers SPCP
approved. This should provide you with the information needed to make an
informed decision. I am always available to fellow technicians for advice
and education.
